Clog WikiLeaks?

Article on Wikileaks

Today we discussed the subject of WikiLeaks for a decent amount of time. Is Julian Assange a  righteous whistleblower or a glorified gossiper? Check out the above article.

J-Roll down with yoga.

I found it interesting the winner of multiple gold gloves, 2007 NL MVP, and winner of a World Series says regular stretching is boring but enjoys yoga. His wife also practices which may have helped him open up to the idea.

WTV?

What is virtuous? A tougher question than I originally thought. Me Professor Laurie Greene disagreed on a few different aspects of what is virtuous today. Though we saw eye to eye on others. Hmmm how to express this next part....You see she seemed to think that people who give mass amounts of money to good causes were doing this to gain some recognition. Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was the main choice in class today. I don't think they are necessarily looking for a greater recognition in their life. Since I mean it's Bill friggen Gates. Does the man need more coverage than he already has. Perhaps so. The point was brought up that maybe he is using this to get his name more coverage there for Microsoft more coverage. Presenting the Microsoft company in a better light. i.e. Look we give money to good causes. Buy our product. I really don't know Bill or Melinda personally so I can not say either way. Though it does seem like human nature to be recognized for great accomplishments. There are your few anonomous donors in the world, but for the most part people like being recognized for the hard work they do. So perhaps it is a mixture of the two; creating a foundation to get your other rich friends to cough up some dough and to say hey look at me I am doing good in the world. I can and am making a difference. Recognize me for being a great human being. Oprah Winfrey much....

MEDitation

I believe meditation is good for the soul.......maybe I'm  wrong. Who knows? Just taking a moment, a nice quiet moment to sit back and completely clear your mind. Let the stress go. Let the worries go. Let all the connections to all other human beings completely go. Like a metaphysical escape of the body. Let your mind completely escape. Almost like a reset button on your stress levels. They practice yoga and meditation in a main prison in India. During class many people felt that could not trandcend successfully to American prisons. That American prisoners were to small minded and would not be willing to accept these Eastern traditions. I argue that it has never been tried. Perhaps it has. Perhaps it has already failed here in the U.S. but I'll look more into that later. Being secluded for most of the day, hell being secluded for most of your life; meditation could provide you a little escape from the despair that surrounds you. MEDitation, medicine for the mind.

Is it true?

The other day in class my professor, who is a female, stated the following abou women:

When a woman asks if I am thirsty, she is not looking for a response of yes or no, but for me to ask if she is thirsty. This is the reason men and women are so different. Much like the "Does this dress make me look fat?"This is just a woman's way of askng "Do you love me?" "Am I wanted?"

This seems strange. At least strange to us men.Men are straight forward. If I ask another man, "Are you thirsty?" What I mean is "Are you thirsty?" this is opposed to women asking "Are you thirsty?" and really meaning "Talk to me" I'd love to hear other women's oppinions on the manner........

As long as there is breath in the body, there is life.
When breath departs, so too does life.
Therefore, regulate the breath.

Just figured out how to....

install a little button on my Google chrome web browser allowing me to blog any website I find interesting by just a click of a button. What untimely fashion.

Something Different

There is a retreat April 8th-12th. Who wants to go? This laughter business still interests me. Though I believe in the end it is just that, a business. The start up kit is $149.00 and I can't imagine these retreats run at a small going rate. In any case seems like it would be fun to go on a retreat to laugh all week with a ton of different people. LOL.
