BIKRAM

Recently we as a class took part in practicing bikram yoga. Usually practiced in a room with a temp. of around 105 degrees I don't think it was quite the same in the typical chilly Stockton classroom. It was still an excellent session of yoga that left me feeling invigorated and energized afterwards. I t was interesting to work with a stiff knee since it goes against most other workouts that warn against stiffening your knees to avoid injury. Even with out the heat a broke out in a sweat throughout the session. I hope to continue to stretch my body out and to be able to place my forehead on my knees without having to bend my knees. My favorite part of the session was the breathing exercises that took place in the end which provided me a feeling of focused relaxation for the remainder of the day.
